RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 Apply Online for 6565 Posts Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways have released an indicative Centralised Employment Notification (CEN No. 02/2026) for the recruitment of Technician Grade I Signal and various Technician Grade III posts. RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Qualifications

Eligibility criteria depend on the post and level. Candidates must meet educational, technical, and age requirements as per the Centralised Employment Notification.

Technician Grade I Signal: B.Sc. (Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / IT / Instrumentation) or Degree/Diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
Technician Grade III: 10th / Matriculation plus ITI from NCVT/SCVT in relevant trade or Act Apprenticeship in the concerned trade.
Other Conditions: Candidates must satisfy prescribed medical standards and citizenship norms and should be within the specified age limit as on the date mentioned in CEN 02/2026.

Age Limit

Technician Grade I Signal: 18 to 36 Years
Technician Grade III: 18 to 33 Years
Upper age relaxation for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/NCL/EWS/Ex-Servicemen/ PWBD) will be applicable as per Government of India rules and details will be given in the detailed CEN.

Selection Process

RRB Technician recruitment involves multiple stages including a Computer Based Test and subsequent document and medical verification. There is no Computer Based Aptitude Test for these Technician posts.

Total Questions: 100 Objective Type Questions
Total Marks: 100 Marks
Exam Duration: 90 Minutes
Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer; no negative marks for unattempted questions.

Salary Details

Technician Grade I Signal: Pay Level 5 (7th CPC) – Initial Pay Rs. 29,200/-
Technician Grade III: Pay Level 2 (7th CPC) – Initial Pay Rs. 19,900/-
Additional allowances such as DA, HRA, TA and other benefits will be admissible as per Railway rules for the respective pay levels.
