SIDBI Grade A and B Educational Qualification & Post Qualification Work Experience
The educational qualifications and experience required for SIDBI recruitment for Grade ‘A’ and ‘B’ officers are as follows:
Assistant Manager Grade ‘A’ (General Stream)
Qualification:
Graduation in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or Engineering with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Alternatively, professional qualifications like Company Secretary (CS), Certified Management Accountant (CMA/ICWA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Chartered Accountant (CA) are also acceptable.
MBA or PGDM in any discipline (full-time, 2 years) from a recognized institution.
Experience:
For candidates with only a graduate degree, at least 2 years’ experience in credit dispensation in MSME, corporate lending, or small commercial loans as an officer in institutions such as SIDBI, EXIM Bank, NABARD, or scheduled commercial banks.
Alternatively, experience in entities dealing with investment or merchant banking, asset reconstruction, or project management with consulting firms may also qualify.
No experience is required for candidates with a CA or MBA/PGDM.
Manager Grade ‘B’ (General Stream)
Qualification:
Graduation with 60% marks or post-graduation with 55% marks (relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD).
Experience:
At least 5 years as an officer in institutions like SIDBI, RBI, NABARD, scheduled commercial banks, or RBI-registered NBFCs.
Manager Grade ‘B’ (Legal Stream)
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD if reserved).
Enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.
Desirable: Preference for candidates with a Master’s Degree in Law or CS qualification, and proficiency in computer applications.
Experience:
At least 5 years as a Law Officer in a permanent or full-time direct contract role (not outsourced) in:
RBI, SEBI, or other all-India financial institutions (e.g., EXIM Bank, NABARD, NHB, NaBFID, SIDBI).
Scheduled commercial banks, central public sector enterprises (CPSEs), or RBI-registered NBFCs.
Desirable Knowledge: Expertise in Banking Law, Company Law, Labour Law, Constitutional Law, and Insolvency & Bankruptcy laws, with drafting experience.
Manager Grade ‘B’ (IT Stream)
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or Communications Engineering, or MCA from a recognized institution with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Desirable Certifications: Preferred certifications in AI/ML, Full Stack Development, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management.
Experience:
5 years in IT as a System Officer or similar (permanent or full-time direct contract, not outsourced) in:
Specific Experience Areas (at least 2 years in one of the following):
AI/ML Solutions and ML/Deep Learning algorithms, or
Web application development with expertise in RDBMS, SQL, and PL/SQL, or
IT Security Management, or
IT Infrastructure and Network Management.
Desirable Experience: Experience with remote process automation, UI skills, enterprise security solutions, cloud/storage technologies, or infrastructure design for high availability and reliability.
