RRB ALP Apply Online 2024: The Railways Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for a bumper vacancy of 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot posts across various regions in Indian Railways. The online application process for RRB ALP Vacancy 2024 started on 20th January 2024 and will continue till 19th February 2024.

As per RRB ALP Notification 2024, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is going to recruit a total of 5696 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilots posts for all 24 regions. Candidates can check Region-wise and category-wise vacancy details from the below table.

Matriculation / SSLC, ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / WiremanOR Matriculation / SSLC, Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned aboveOR 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile EngineeringORCombination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.Candidates with Degree in the Engineering disciplines mentioned above can also apply.

RRB ALP Age Limit 2024

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 28 years

The RRB ALP exam pattern consists of the following phases

CBT Stage- 1
CBT Stage- 2 ( Part A and Part B)
CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test)

CBT Stage -1

A total duration of 60 minutes will be allotted to the candidates.

CBT Stage -2

The Second Stage of CBT will consist of two parts: Part A and Part B.
Part A will have questions on Maths, Reasoning, Basic Science and engineering, and Current affairs.
There will be a total of 100 questions to be solved in 90 minutes for Part A whereas Part B will consist of questions on Relevant Discipline/Trade and will have 75 questions to be solved in 60 minutes.
Part B will be of qualifying nature only whereas the marks of Part A will decide the progress of the candidates to the next stages of the selection process.
